The Page Band program includes the Marching Patriot Band, Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Jazz Ensembles, Indoor Percussion, Winter Guard, and Pep Band. Our two concert bands, Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Band, meet during the school day and are the foundation of our program. Students rehearse daily and perform 4-6 concerts per school year. Our three competition groups consist of the Marching Patriots, Indoor Percussion, and Winter Guard. Students participate in these co-curricular ensembles outside of school hours and participate in their respective competitive circuits. The Marching Patriots are proud supporters of our school community and athletic teams. Both Jazz Ensembles rehearse after school in the second semester and perform 2-3 concerts. The choral program at Page has two ensembles that perform a wide variety of repertoire ranging from classical literature to musical theater and pop music. The choirs perform multiple concerts a year, compete in MTVA’s Choral Festival, and travel every Spring! Course offerings include:

Choir I (Page High Choir)

Page High Choir is a mixed ensemble. Students will practice healthy vocal production techniques and learn foundational sight-reading skills. While they are developing their own voices and musicianship, they will also be learning about blending and listening within an ensemble. We cover the basics of vocal auditions and solo performance. We strive to create a quality mixed ensemble sound and to teach students the foundations of musicianship, regardless of music experience.

Choir II (Chamber Choir)

The Chamber Choir is a mixed ensemble. The focus is to create strong musicianship and artistry for each singer through a cappella and traditional choral music. This class promotes vocal independence and growth of both solo and ensemble singers.  Audition required.

The Page High School Orchestra meets as a class every day during the school day. This class is for students who play violin, viola, cello, or double bass. Orchestra students strive for excellence, which requires practice outside of school. Students perform in concerts and at events many times throughout the year.

In orchestra, students will focus on techniques like sight-reading, scales, vibrato, shifting, music theory, and ensemble skills. The Page High School orchestra typically performs music at grade levels III-IV. 

Page High School Orchestra students have the opportunity to audition for the WCS Honors Orchestra and Tennessee Mid-State Orchestra, as well as participate in the MTSBOA Concert Performance Assessment and Solo and Ensemble Performance Assessment.
